Some things I'd like to see in the 3.2 update to Path of Exile
We're going to talk about some things I'd like to see in the 3.2 update and future updates to Path of Exile. Let's dig in.
GGG "Balance" Issues Stop The Extreme Nerfing And Buffing
Grinding Gear Games has a habit of introducing a new skill or mechanic that does so much damage, that you're basically one-shorting an entire map, including the boss. Then, after community outrage, they'll Nerf the previously overpowered skill and mechanic so hard, that it completely breaks builds, and makes that skill or mechanic so weak, that is barely viable, even with a level 100, fully mirrored character.
Seems like Rory and crew are spending more time making memes and less time really putting thought into how they introduce or adjust skills and mechanics in the game. I get it. They're trying to promote player engagement in the new league by making things so goddamn strong. But is that really the correct approach? Let me know what you guys think about this, and how Grinding Gear Games could do a better job at their "balance" in the game.
Improve Game Stability(Crashes)
While Grinding Gear Games has made great strides to improve the game and how smoothly it runs, there are still countless players, including myself, experiencing game crashes. The frequency has seemed to increase as of Path of Exile 3.1, and we're left in the dark with what Grinding Gear Games is going to do to work on this.
I noticed a considerable difference in performance with the integration of Directx 11, and that felt like a step in the right direction. But crashes are really hindering what could be a flawless gaming experience. I'm hoping Grinding Gear Games continues to work on this, and ultimately, identifies the root cause.
Buff Discharge, Coc, Mjolner
In previous patches, Grinding Gear Games made updates to mjolner, discharge, and cast-on creek, effectively crippling many builds that leveraged this mechanic. Sure, they could take on T14 and maybe T15 maps after the nerfs, but the days of being able to conquer endgame were made near impossible without over tuning and giving the out of the build to make it work again.
GGG's reasoning for this was server load. But with the game running better than ever, and the fact that there are those bullshit cast (inaudible) damage taking eight million spells at once on the screen, how can that be a valid reason anymore? It's time for a buff. Do you guys agree?
The Labyrinth Something'S Gotta Give
This is the main reason why I typically only do one or two characters in the new leagues. I have the labs, and I know I'm not alone. It's not because they're difficult, but because they're tedious, boring, and one little lag spike, disconnect, or crash, and you're back to the beginning to go through the bullshit all over again.
I understand how useful the labs have become for the enchants and making path of exile currency, and on the grand scheme of things, I guess it's a relatively small part of the game. But the fact that it's a necessary evil to unlock the true power of your character means we have to do something we hate in this video game in order to progress our characters. There's a difference between gated content behind something fun and challenging, versus gated content behind something that feels like a troll from Grinding Gear Games just to fuck with us.
We all know Grinding Gear Games are the ultimate trolls when it comes to this game. I'd like to see this as some type of optional mechanic that can still be used for enchants and farming poe currency, but that doesn't prevent us from unlocking ascendancy points. What do you guys think could be done with the labs?
Instant Leech And Vaal Pact What Are We Doing?
Can we make a final decision as to what we want to do here with instant leech and Vaal Pact? Let's face it, the new Vaal Pact sucks unless you're using Slayer. With blood seeker, miner builds, chainsaw, righteous fire, and a few other builds, we're adjusting to the new Vaal Pact by simply not using it. What's the point to take Vaal Pact anymore in its current state? I'd like to understand if the community and Grinding Gear Games are pleased with the current state of Vaal Pact.
I'm sure you guys have a bunch of thoughts on this article, and I'm sure you guys have a bunch of thoughts on this article, and I'm sure you guys have your own issues with Grinding Gear Games and Path of Exile that you'd like to see fixed in future updates. Let me know on the comments below what you struggle with and what you'd like to see improved in POE 3.2 and beyond. Thanks as always for the continued support and thanks for watching. All in all, just hope you like the Path of Exile 3.2. And never forget cheap poe currency for sale on R4PG all the time.
