The First 24 Hours Of Ares WOW!

Well as of writing the server has been live for a little over 24 hours. To start with the instant 60 thing is getting some mixed feelings. We think it is great and for those who have played WOW and other WOW servers to death. It is a great way to get straight into the game and avoid those rather brutal early sections of the game.
For the most part, things are going quite well. Over 25 thousand characters have been created in the first 24 hours! Although from what we have seen, Horde certainly seems to be outnumbering the Alliance, but to be fair, we think we all expected that.
While we have had a pretty smooth introduction to the server there have been a few issues such as people getting restarted, crashes and other bugs. All things that are to be expected in a server of this magnitude to be fair. But the guys behind the game have been working extra hard and already they have fixed a ton of things so going forward this looks like it could be one of the top WOW servers.
The guys behind the server really do look like they are fans and they want the rest of us to have a fantastic server that is going to be a lot of fun to play. We can honestly say that from our short time with Ares that it has all the makings of a very fun server.
